Spectacular Waterfront Views of Annapolis Maryland- Grand Reopening of Market House

Yesterday Annapolis had the Grand Reopening of the Market House. It was fun to be in the mix with the vendors, locals and some radio personalities as they basked in the glow of a time gone by. This place has changed through the years. I remember as a child growing up in Virginia, it was a real treat to come over to Annapolis to the Market House, we ate steamed crabs and spiced shrimp, sipped an icy and let ice cream melt down your hands. Now that was way to spend a hot summer afternoon on a Saturday or Sunday. Then of course we would watch the sailboats on your fathers shoulders and maybe he might help you fly that kite that had been sitting in the basement, you know the one with the dust and cobwebs. Yes that was Annapolis, circa 1980 and they were good times.

The Market House now features local artist and natural grocers(Maryland Table), healthy sandwiches and snacks, and Asian fusion. Not quite a blast from the past when every vendor featured MD seafood, crabs, shrimp, oysters on the half shell, clams to name just a few. The vendors are temporary on a 6-months rotating lease. The line up is: Chick & Ruth’s Delly, b.b. Bistro, Firenzes Coffee & Gelato, Jerrie’s on the Shore, Maryland Table, Myra’s Popcorn Kitchen, Pit Boys Oyster & Raw Bar, Wimsey Cove Framing and Art, and Wok Your Way.

The Market House is a nice addition to the Annapolis Waterfront vibe of outdoor shops of men and women's clothier, fine arts and jewelry, whimsical crafts and loads of restaurants and bistros. Not to mention homemade fudge and at least 6 different ice cream shops and don't forget the beautiful sailboats in every color as far as the eye can see.

Annapolis Waterfront is home to some very special homes and condo developments for those who want a slice of this life everyday not just on the weekends. The condo units pictured above just beyond the sail boats are all waterfront homes. Baywoods of Annapolis, Chesapeake Landing, The Point, Severn House and The Tecumseh just to name a few of the many fabulous waterfront condo communities that call Annapolis home.
